Pours clear golden with about one and a half finger of white head, average density. Shows good enough retention and not much lacing. Quite nice vividness in a very classic helles aroma: cereals, hay, delicate grassiness and floral hops, a light lemonish hint. Taste notes as per aroma; as mentioned, very typical, maybe a tad less sweet than average. Sweetness and bitterness are of course both mild and none stands out. Nice flavour definition. Quite light in body with light to medium carbonation; easily quaffable. Nothing unexpected or special here, but overall a well made enjoyable helles.

Pours very dark amber to light brown, looks brownish in the glass with red hues through light. About one finger of a rather compact head, the slightest off-white, shows decent persistence and scarce lacing. Nice intensity in the aroma: soft nutty maltiness upfront with notes of caramel and hints of something bordering spiciness and rye bread. Light fruity hints (can't pick up anything specific) and a quite vivid per style floral/tea-like hop bitterness. Nice. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, with medium sweetness and medium bitterness; a slight sweet edge upfront and quite some bitterness (by style standards) in the finish/aftertaste, which also leaves a fruity hint (dark/dried fruits). Quite intense in taste as in the aroma, and well defined, though i feel like there's a bit too much contrast between the sweet entrypoint and the relatively bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, average fine-bubbled carbonation, feels fuller than most dunkels. Overall a quite intense example of the style, in both taste and mouthfeel. Pretty nice.

Bottle from Beer Cave. Appearance - amber to brown with a beige head that disappears fairly quickly. Nose - Highland toffee, light raisins and bread. Taste - more prominent raisins this time, caramel and cake. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and the finish is a combo of rich and roasty. Overall - drinks very well!

Bottle. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is white sugar, earthy, decent freshness. Taste is sweet pale malts, a dash of flowery hops. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Standard Helles, nothing wrong with it.

Looks clear light brown in the glass with reddish hints if seen through light. Average sized quite compact head, the slightest off-white; good enough retention, little lacing. Sweet aroma: strong brown sugar, caramel, lighter nutty notes, a hint of cola. Quite strong sweetness in taste as well, in both taste and aftertaste. A pretty strong sugary feel (a bit too dominant), plus caramel, cola, slight nuttiness, cocoa and fruity hints (red/dried fruits). An interesting flavour profile, but a bit drowned in sugar and slightly unclean for a lager. Medium body, average carbonation; semi-full mouthfeel, a bit heavier than expected for the abv. So so
