12 ounce can. Listed as prepared for Summer. Thanks big time to Neil. Pours a clear golden hue with a large white head. A big earthy hoppy nose. Lots of citrus, bread, some light bitter hops. Very smooth, crisp. Solid. Drinkable for sure.

Can from Le Petit L’Ouest in Shimo-kita. Can says 5% ABV. Big nose of tropical fruit, especially pineapple with a hint of grain as well. Taste is quite bitter for a pale ale, but still solid. Nice dry finish. A little over-carbonated for my taste. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pale Ale on 21 Sep 2015 at 17:07 - Score: 6

very cloudy color. Thick white head. Funky hop character that combined with the yeast I didn’t grove on so much. Light and well made, but not my fav from them.

Having just had the Aso Amber I figured now was a good time to crack open this can of Oh! La! Ho! Amber Ale I got from Taniguchi. 4.5% Much nicer looking it is a deep reddish Amber with a huge bed head of foam that lingers & leaves great lacing behind. The aroma is soft cocoa, citrus and malts. Yum. Med-light bodied with a sharp rounded carbonation that pricks your tastebuds. This US style Amber is much more my style. The taste is malty cocoa, mild toffee, graham and citrusy hop fruitiness with a light dry finish. Very nice.

Tap at CBM Jimbocho. Pine needles, floral hops, citrus and grapefruit on the nose with hints of malt and brown sugar. Fairly well-balanced with the sweetness of the malts smoothing out the bitterness of the hops. Has a citrus tang going on as well on the palate. Leans a little more into IPA territory with the floral hop blast. Nice dry finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Captain Crow Extra Pale Ale on 29 May 2015 at 09:12 - Score: 7

Looks like your standard apple juice with little to no head. Very sharp nose that is tart and sweet at the same time. Very heavy, very alcoholic, but not without charm. Love hate with this. Glad they only serve 1/2 pints but 1/4 pints would be better.

Amber gold color. Apricots and apples in the nose, fairly aggressively hopped. The mouth is light with a full in hop assault, but doesn’t forget the malt. But big hop assault. Bit lingering bitter finish. Much more of a session IPA rather than an extra pale ale, but whatever this stuff is great.
