Tap at Ant ’n Bee, Roppongi. Murky yellow color, good creamy white head. Aroma has fruity banana and citrus. Medium-bodied. Flavor has banana, tartish salt water notes. Fizzy. Should this be like this?

Tap at Keyaki. Estery nose, oranges, some tropical fruits. Sweet, fruity, coconut, toffee, butterscotch. Too sweet and too much diacetyl.

Tap at Keyaki. Rather ugly, cloudy appearance. Rather tart adn sour, with vinegar, apples, maple syrup. Nice sweet and sour balance. Good.

I picked this up at Nomono in Akihabara station a great little shop for Jaoanese craft beers. This Pale is a collaboration between Oh! La! Ho! & Transporter that Japanese beer magazine. Captain Kid pours a nice mellow yellow gold with a thin fizzy head that disappears fast. A great hoppy bouquet of resin, pine & herbal notes. The beer has a spiky sharp mouthfeel from the carbonation on a medium body. A really resinous & piney flavor profile makes it seem more IPA than APA as does the bitter aftertaste but overall a good beer for hopheads.

On tap at Bungalow. A very light cloudy straw gold. A fruity spicy weizen aroma. Smooth silky palate with lots of wheat & cloves in the flavor - a very nice light summer beer.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. Shared by Shoulderbroken. Clear deep copper pour, nice hoppy nose. Solidly bitter with a good biscuity backbone a pretty decent double IPA.

On tap at Beer Keyaki 2014, shared by Chuwy. A clear golden pour with a nice apple nose and a silky smooth and a bit slick mouthfeel. A pleasant apple spicy flavor with some booziness but nowhere near what you’d expect for 15% ABV. A well-done experiment.

On tap at Beer Craft Man, a clear copper gold with a lovely tropical fruit hop bouquet. The taste is piney grape, fruity sweet with a solid malt backbone. A piney bitter finish refreshes the palate & stirs your appetite.

5% on tap at Bungalow. A dark reddish brown with a light beige head. A citrusy nose with a solid malt backbone. A solid japanese black IPA, ascerbic citrus flavor with a chocolatey coffee malt backbone.
