Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy. Fine malty notes, fine spicy. Mild dry background. Finish with some grasy hints, still fine spicy. Quite drinkable. Good!

33cl. Many thanks to Alex! Mahagoni-colourm white to beige head. Nose is fruity-malty, very full. The beer starts very mild, a bit malty, but not really sweet. Even a bit smoked. The slightly smokey-roasted aroma gets fuller in the mainpart, the 9% are not noticeable. The aftertaste is long, dry-malty, only subtle hops, a bit of roasted malts, highly drinkable, but not really watery. It leaks a bit of the deepness I expect at those high percentage... --> Very interesting Doppelbock. 12/14/11/11

Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt with mild hoppy and fruity notes. bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to malty sweetness with notes of caramel, ending rather dry. Pronounced alcohol notes. Rich carbonation. An OK Doppelbock, but rather anonymous and not as good as the Heller Bock made by the same brewery.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt with touches of caramel and hops. Sweetish, malty flavour with a good deal of caramel for the style, quickly offset by bitter, hoppy notes, ending rather sweetish but leaving a dry aftertaste. An OK HB.

330ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Muggy grainy aroma with hints of corn. Taste is monotonously grainy, minimally grassy, soapy and pseudo-citrusy. If you had this served as a Pale Lager somewhere in Africa you wouldn’t be surprised. Or more precisely, concerning taste there’s no difference to an average African Pale Lager - you may still have wondered about why they’ve taken the effort to import a beer not a mu better than any one of their one’s.

Clear amber with a dirt white bubbly head that leaves nice lacings as it goes down. Malty and slight grainy with some yeast, fermented fruit and some plastery notes with a hint of booze.
