0.33 l bottle from local 'Getränke Hoffmann', best before October 2020. Clear, dark reddish brown with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, a touch of cocoa and traces of raisins. Gently sweet, malty, slightly bitter and minimally fruity taste of caramel, toasted nuts, light cocoa and traces of raisins, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Solid Doppelbock but quite monotonous and not very deep.

Pale yellow colour, small white head. Grassy, harsh like hop extract aroma with some green vegetables. Light-bodied. Sweetish malty, some grassy-vegetably hops. Typical Bavarian supermarket helles.

Swing top bottle. Golden color, cloudy. Milky, hoppy flavor with hints of toffee and citrus. Some earthiness in the indifferent aroma. Good mix of flavor and drinkability.

6th DRG. Pineapple aroma. Citric flavor with touches of banana and flowers. Vanilla. Touch of hops, especially in the aftertaste. Decent but unspectacular.

Auf einem augedrucken A4-Zettel wird geschrieben: Die handwerkliche Braukunst verleiht diesem naturbelassenen, bernsteinfarbenen Zwickelbier einen angenehmen, leicht hefigen, vollmundigen Geschmack - EInst das Privileg des Braumeisters...heute ein besonderer Genuss für Sie! Gut, den leicht hefigen Geschmack kann ich bestätigen, vollmundig ist es auch halbwegs, aber bersteinfarben ist es mal nicht -eher grau-braun...es erinnert farblich an manches Abwasser. Geschmacklich ist es zwar relativ nett, kann mich aber nicht begeistern, da es zwar urig ist, aber nicht viel über einen brotigen Grundton herauskommt.
