Can courtesy of Geraint and Helen, cheers you two, consumed at Mum and Keigh’s, Kempsey, Nr Worcester, Worcestershire Friday 30th December 2016 Pours either dark brown or black with a beige head. Dark bitter toffee in the mouth, doesn’t taste like a BIPA, the hops are rather subdued, however it’s a decent beer. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask pint in The Shrewsbury Hotel (Spoons) on 15th Dec 2016. Golden body, smooth white crown. Malty front, yet the taste is fairly bitter: mixed bag of over-ripe fruits in the flavour. Liked it.

330ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours a misty amber, good white head. Aroma of caramel malt and brisk earthy hop. Taste is sturdy caramel with a sharp hop bitterness. It does seem that this is an IPA in the original sense, full of English hop character and a solid malt backbone. Very decent.

Bottle from Bargain Booze, Mold. Dark reddish-brown with next to no head. Fruity and very sweet in its nose, with this sweetness carrying through to its taste, clearly with a strength. There’s a few dark malts to enjoy here. Has a very mild fizz in the palate.
