Description

We’re Julie and Derek- the team behind Wild Fern Brewing, located along the D&R Canal State Park Trail in the charming riverside community of Frenchtown, NJ. The name “Wild Fern” was inspired by the gorgeous native Ostrich ferns that grow near our home by the river, and our shared appreciation for plants and nature.

Our intention is to create a warm taproom environment that is an ode to the natural beauty of the Delaware River valley and its native flora and fauna. We aim to create a gathering space that honors the creative spirit of the community where all are welcome.

You can expect to find a focused and refined draft list, all made by owner/brewer Julie. We focus on high quality ingredients and will aim to always have a style on each of our six draft lines to suit everyone’s palate.

Draft, small pour, at Brick Farm, 5/13/26. Clear gold, fizzy head, minimal lace. Slightly tart wheat and citrus. Grainy and herbal notes. Tingly feel. Pretty clean and drinkable overall.

Draft at brewery. Number one with a bullet. Medium gold pour. Small white head. Light faint malt nose hints at green apples. Flavor is more light grain. Dryish notes in middle. Some herbal hops. More green apple. Dry, dusty finish.

Draft at brewery. Number one with a bullet. Nearly opaque dark brown pour. Brief beige head. Toasted malt aroma hints. Sweet toasted malt flavor. Medium bodied. Notes of caramel and herbal hops. Tasty.

Hazy yellow gold pour. Small white head. Piney, citrus hop aroma. Flavor is dank citrus and pine. Notes of grapefruit, lime and grassy hops. Sticky mouthfeel. Peppery finish.

Draught at Log Jammin V: pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and caramel. Sweetish, lightly bitter. Velvety mouthfeel. Quite good.
