Bottle from Furusato Nozei. Possibly a bit darker than the regular. Fall, foamy head. Malty nose, just a touch of caramel, more biscuity than the regulars. Light, herbal hops. Rich, lightly sweet malt, bread and biscuit, bit of caramel. Hops come out a bit less, but ok grassy, herbal, spicy hops. Just a touch of cardboard too. Nice malt.

Served in my Lager glass. Suntory Master’s Dream Unfiltered 5% Man I was told this was a top knotch pils so I tracked it down (after a dozen konbini! Seems to be a Famima exclusive). Clear gold, thick fluffy head with a spicy white pepper and herbal noble hop bouquet all the way. True to style, nice! Full bodied with great fresh bread crust bready malt character, lovely spicy herbal hop biting bitterness. Crisp clean and delicious, this was worth tracking down and the 320¥ price. Delicious and perfect for the Japanese summer, this is ultra-crushable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from York Benimaru, Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, Japan. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Malty, caramel aroma. Tastes vaguely malty, caramel, slightly bitter. Not much happening here.

Pours quite clear pink, some pinkish foam on top. Nose has some cereals, light tartness and some artificial cassis. taste is dry, no real sweetness there, somewhat bitter and bready. Artificial-feeling food colouring agent flavours. Overall, not really anything I would want to drink again, more like a relatively bad beer cocktail.
