Can shared. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Fruity aromas with peach and apricot standing out. Sweet on the palate, but not as sweet as I had feared. LIght bitterness and dryness on the finish with some sweetness. Not awful by any means. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Premium Malts Kaoru Ale on 01 Oct 2016 at 15:22 - Score: 6

Can from Family Mart. Drank from the can. Lemon candy nose with honey and candy cough drop notes. Syrupy and heavy body. Sugar bomb. Wheat usually lightens a beer up and makes it refreshing...fail like all of this series. --- Beer merged from original tick of Craft Select Wheat Ale on 24 Sep 2016 at 15:50 - Score: 4. Original review text: Sickly sweet and somewhat syrupy....wheat usually lightens up the body....Jesus

Lemony, slightly wheaty nose. A bit of grapefruit as well. Something is a bit candy-like. Bright deep gold, clear, with a low, fine, thick head and obvious bubbles. Bready, malty flavor, some wheat but not so interesting, hops are ok. Lemon, orange. Very simple American-feeling "C" hops. Sweet, with a rather muddled finish that is just a bit peppery but really not clean enough. About par for the course with this series.

Aroma is butter and peas, some herbs and noble hops. Taste is some herbal malts and tart dryness. Medium finish of more of everything. Ok.

Can. Wow. High score from Maekchu. Got me excited. Deep amber-orange with red and a medium frothy head. Looks nice. Smells like Wiener malt, some caramel, toast, peaches, a bit of earthy hop. Flavor is sweet caramel, a bit more one-dimensional than I hoped for, some citrus and spicy hops. A bit too sweet for me. But the finish is nice and hoppy, with pepper lemon and orange. Possibly the best ale that Suntory has made so far.

Bottle from Family Mart poured into a stemmed glass. Very grain forward nose with some light grassy notes. Well-balanced and slightly oily on the palate. Sweet with honey and granola-like notes. The bitterness starts to hit around mid-palate and grows more intense. Nice peppery hops that linger. Too sweet for me mid-palate but I did like the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Premium Malts Master's Dream Muroka on 10 Aug 2016 at 19:12 - Score: 6. Very nice saaz hop nose with lots of cereal Malts. Very clean palate with lots of noble hops, good amount of bitterness. Great example of A German Pils. Super nice and clean. Love it.

2 bottles, consumed on the train from Tottori to Kyoto. Nice crisp nose, good noble hops, grass, herb, tiny bit of citrus, biscuity malt. Smooth and full flavor, malty and rich, a touch too sweet, but solid bitterness. Lightly cloudy, deep gold. Yeast adds body and richness. This is pretty darn good. Drank two quickly and wanted more.

Can. A clear gold pour with just a wisp of a head of foam. A sweet fruit, wheat and very mild spice aroma. Medium to light bodied with a raspy carbonation and seems over-gassed. It sits in the pit of my stomach like a gassy bomb. The taste is rough: some kind of hop extract or something that gives it a herbal medicinal hoppiness and then a cardboard lame maltiness. I was expecting more as the look and aroma were alright but the taste/body were a bit of a mess. Ugh.
