From cask at the Maldon Beer & Cider Festival with Terje 25.04.22. Clear golden. White head and lacing. Harsh and taste of grass, chives, bot-myrtle and pale malt. Not great.

Almost clear amber beer, small bubbly off white head. Palate is light and has a good fine minerally crispness. The malts are light and biscuity with a nice light amount of toffee - caramel, not to sweet at all. The Challenger hops provide light pine and very mild hop spice. Mild orchard fruits and very ripe citrus blend well with the malts. Light finish finds everything coming together very well. Another very clean offering from Red Fox. Nowhere to hide with something like this and to me, it's faultless.

Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is light and mildly dry and has good fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, clean and with a perfect amount of sweetness for a brew like this. The EKG hops are bright and crisp. Good pine and a nice light bright lemony citrus. Mild floral vibe on the crisp finish. A super clean and crisp golden. Simple stuff done very well indeed.

27/1/2023. Cask at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, ash, liquorice, light roasted malt, dark fruits and cherry. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Quite decent.

Almost clear amber beer, patchy bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Some mild twiggy bitterness and a pleasant light fruitiness. Just a trace of spice and a little crisp pine before a tangy bitter finish that leaves a tangy bitter linger. Traditional stuff from Red Fox. It's fine and quite drinkable.
