Hazy dirtyish orange beer, the bubbly head is a weird colour and the bubbles refract rainbows like washing up liquid. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine minerally carbonation. Mild malt sweetness, a whisper of caramel. Light pine into some juicy but very ripe orange and yellow grapefruit, marmalade of both. Some mild esters obvious on the semi dry finish. Not Red Fox's finest offering for me. It's quite drinkable but lacks their normal deft touch of presenting something a bit more crafty. This feels very old school.

Half-pint, cask at the Railway Tavern in Chelmsford. Shared with Finn. Covering pearl white head, spotty lacing, clear warm golden body. Promising smell of dried fruits and bread-like malts. Blended taste character with impacts of toffee, dried fruits, and biscuit. Ends bittersweet. Medium bodied. Likable. (Chelmsford 23.11.2021).

500ml bottle. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt and vinegar infection. The flavour is strong sour and not much else. Infected and undrinkable.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - deep amber, a little hazy. Slightly off-white head. Nose - muesli, light toffee and a bit woody. Taste - brown bread, muesli and a bit twiggy. Palate - light bodied, dry malty finish. Overall - ok.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - deep amber and fairly clear. Off-white head. Nose - orange peel and general cakey notes. Taste - more dried fruitcake with a light resin extra bitterness. Palate - medium bodied, tangy middle and quite bitter finish. Overall - interesting beer.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - deep brown to black with a proportionate, off white head. Nose - roast, molasses but then also lime or lemon grass. Possibly even a little orange sweetness. Taste - again roast and lime come to the fore. Probably in more of a hoppy stout territory as opposed to absolutely on the money with the black IPA style. Palate - medium bodied, roasty middle and malty and hoppy finish. Overall - probably into hopped stout style but enjoyable beer.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Beige head. Nose - dark chocolate, light smoke and molasses. You can find the orange but only because you are expecting it and go looking for it. Taste - as per the nose. Palate - medium bodied, tangy and light roasty on the finish. Overall - good, but marmalade extremely subtle.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Appearance - opaque, mat black. Big foamy beige head. Nose - smoke, wood, farmyard and burnt raisins. Taste - burnt raisin, burnt toast and smoke. Palate - medium bodied, roast and very dry finish. Overall - very dry indeed. Possibly a dry stout in style.
