Bright clear amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Light malt. Sweetish light floral flavours give way to light espresso. A touch of sweet generic fruits before a light crisp finish. Mild fresh espresso linger. Nicely done, a light and fresh coffee beer.

Hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with fine carhonation. Bretty start, lightly salty. Soft caramel and light cream from the malt. Whisper of dried fruits. Touch of spice before a dry finish. Tasty. Interesting that many of the recent Red Fox beers have been slightly bretty, in a good way.

Hazy gold - amber beer, decent pale cream coloured head. Lots of particulates in this one - I think hop fragments. Palate is crispy and fairly dry. Smooth malt, not sweet but brings a touch of dry cream. Moderate bitterness in the hops. Finishes dry and with a mild minerally crisp bite. Itโ€™s a clean tasting beer and quite drinkable, but itโ€™s not an IPA and nothing out of the ordinary.

Lightly hazy gold beer, big fluffy white head. Palate is light and has great light crispness. Mild minerals. Great mildly bitter floralness with sharp lemon zest and a little grapefruit pith. Crisp dry finish. Bright and refreshing.

Light haze on this pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and semi dry and nicely crisp. Light malt, fairly neutral but fresh. Hops are delightfully light and mildly floral, a whisper of citrus. Finishes crisp. Light and refreshing.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival, KEGS. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is dry and a little crisp. Smooth malt with light caramel. Nice fruits - candy fruits and dried fruits. Whisper of Coca Cola. Touch of vanilla. Finishes dry. A complex and tasty beer this but a tad dry.

Cask at The Ale House, Colchester. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with a little smoke. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a watery liqourice bitter spicy pepper hop palate with a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. Nice enough but the bitterness doesnโ€™t suit me. Perhaps they should revisit the hop combination.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/5/2013. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Some hedgerow fruits and sweetish malts leading to a gently bitter finish. Fine.
