Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours dark brown with a faint, white foam head. Dusty cocoa nose, some leather, dark fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with dirt, moss, burnt leaves, mild cocoa. Light in body with fine carbonation. Modest roasted malt finish with dark toast, faint cocoa, subtle dark fruits. Very good.

5.Jul.2012, 1/2 cask @The Angel, Manchester. Golden clear body. Dense filmy layer and beautiful lacing. Rich hops; fresh, flowerbed, honey and grass. The taste isn’t as rich as the aroma. Hint of pine needles and wood. Smooth and oily. Cheeky like Mr. Fox himself!

Half, cask at The Angel. Light golden body. Low white head leaving a good amount of lacing behind. Moderate smell of grapefruits. Similar taste of grapefruits added by lemon and a drop of malty sweetness. Dry hopped ending. Fresh and fruity (Manchester, 05.07.2012).

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Note this was originally called ’Olympic Gold’ but changed it’s name after the programme was published. Light haze on this gold beer. Suddy white head. Light dry palate. Softish dry malt with nice St Clemens orange - lemon tartness. Semi dry finish.

Cask at the The Sun Inn Summer Beer Festival, Kelvedon. Clear amber beer. Residual white head. Light semi dry palate. Well balanced beer. The malt is light and the hops very mildly fruity. Whisper of soap - no problem though. Semi dry finish. Fresh decent bitter.

Chelmsford Winter Fest. Clear gold beer. Light soft palate, no carbonation. A good level of fruit but quite some bitterness. Flat and a little bit dull. Red Fox continue to be a little hit and miss.

Cask at Coggleshall (I think). Hazy gold beer. Dry palate. Light malt. Floral hops with a grapefruit and peach edge. Finishes dry with hops coming forward more.

Very slightly hazy gold beer. A bit of sulphur on the nose and in the taste. Light and dry with nice hops but all let down by the sulphur. Note for admins - this beer is still around.

Cask at the London Drinker. Pours rich, red-brown with a small, foamy head. Not much in the nose aside from burnt leaves. Flavor is lightly sweet with some earthy bitterness, burnt leaves, faint roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dries out in the finish with some faint roast, more burnt leaves, dark malts, some burnt toast. Just not much going for this one. (March 2012, score 2.7)
Draft at GBBF 2014 - London. Pours clear brown with a creamy head. Nice coffee and cocoa character, some toasted bread. Light to medium bodied with fien carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with further coffee, chocolate. Good stuff. (August 2014, score: 3.7)
