Cask at GBBF ’16, day one, 09/08/16. Light mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is toffee, straw, liquorice stick, earthy. Taste comprises brown bread, toffee, nutty, biscuit crumble, light spice, airy malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Respectable mild.

Cask at GBBF 2016 09/08/2016. Clear black, reddy brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Flavour is composed of black malts, boozy fruit cake, liquorice, nutty. Flavour is composed of black malts liquorice, tangy dark fruits. Palate is medium sweet, grainy tannin, moderate cask condition.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Clear gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent carbonation. Smooth pale malts, not that sweet. Mild citrus and floral. Touch of fresh orange. Mild floral bitter finish. Not bad but can’t see any justification (by Ratebeer standards) to calling this an IPA, hence I’ve added it as what it tastes like - a golden.

[ As Red Fox 750 ].Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, pale malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160218]

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, pine, fruity hops, peach. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, hop oil, fruity, citrus, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160219]

The malts are light and clean and show off the grapefruit hops very well. There is grapefruit flesh and peel. Touches of sweeter fruits and something floral. Light crispy finish. Clean and crisp, very nice.

Gravity cask at the Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2016. Chestnut brown. Clear. Smells of leather, sarsaparilla and biltong. Tastes sweet/savoury, like sour cherries poured on top of a slightly burnt steak. Pleasantly full body. But there are quite a few issues with this recipe.
