Description
First brewed in August 2008. A 5BBL plant was used. The brewery closed in Spring 2023, with the site being sold to the owners of Harwich Town Brewing Company and Witham Brewery who set up Wharf Brewery.

Some Red Fox beers are now made by Wharf. These should be rated under Wharf.

Cask gravity at Chelmsford BF 2011. Pale gold clear. Hay hop aroma. Decent enough golden ale. Not very ascetic. Quite hoppy. Easy drinking golden ale

Bottled. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of lemon and lighter notes of flowers. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon and light notes of flowers, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, grass, lemon, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20101122]

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a yeast sediments and a small white head. Aroma is crisp citrusy and peachy hops. Bitter, dry and peachy. No sweetness. Ends dry and bitter.

bottle @ papsoe tasting clear yellow , small white head quite hoppy aroma. flavor is citrussy hoppy, faint pine, weak malty balance.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear yellow with a small and rough white head. Sweet hoppy aroma with very citrusy hops - yum. Light body, very citric and fruity with amazing hop accents. Ends very dry and hoppy. Delicious. 221110

From cask at Hillsborough. Pours dark brown to black with a small off white head. Aroma is dark malty and roasted. Liqourice. Breadish and slight tarish. Dark malt and roasted. Mild acidic and heavy roasted malt. Ends dark breadish. Nice one.
