Hazy gold beer, not much of a head. Light semi crisp palate, some moderate carbonated sting. Fresh hops, grapefruit, orange and a little orange marmalade. Finishes semi dry with a perfect amount of bitterness. Really well flavoured fresh bitter and at 3.0% I could drink loads!

Bottle at home. Special for the Braintree Beer Festival. Crystal clear pale gold beer. No head but there is a little carbonation in the crisp light palate. Lovely fresh hops - grassy piney grapefruit. That’s about it but it’s plenty - really good flavour for it’s abv. Finishes semi dry with a lingering fresh grapefruit aftertaste. The best beer I have had from this brewery. Good stuff!

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Yellowish golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, some nectar, bready malts, caramel malts and some mild honeyish notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but the citrus fruity notes are way more evident. --- Beer merged from original tick of Wharf Coggeshall Gold on 11 Aug 2010 at 02:48 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.
