Poured from 473mL can. Clear blonde gold with white head. Malty cracker malt, herbal and grass hops. No date stamp so maybe this is old, but not a very good rendition of the style. Meh.

On tap at Swans Pub, pours a clear copper / amber with a small beige head. Aroma is full of deep oak notes, a touch of butterscotch, and bready notes — that oak is really nice. Flavour is rich and complex, with a wonderfully deep oak character—almost like a fine, old scotch without the alcohol burn—with toasted caramel and bready malt. That oak character is beautiful. This is seriously impressive.

On tap at Swans Pub, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a nice crisp, grassy, piney hop character and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is correctly structured, with crisp piney hops, crisp biscuity malt, and a touch of citrus. Very coherent hopping, with good balance. Very good.

7/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 8 Overall 7
On tap at Swans Pub, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a touch of oak, crisp biscuity malt and straw. Flavour is similar, with crisp biscuity malt, a hint of oak, and biscuity malt. Pleasantly assertive carbonation, with a crisp finish. Not as good as the Czech Pilsner, but it's pretty solid.
