Can to tulip. Pours black with mahogany highlights. Head is brown with slight patterns down the glass. Smoky aroma with chocolate and molasses. Flavor is smoky roast. Moderate high bitter finish. Back half of the palate shows an interesting flavor from the hops that is a bit hard to place - slightly grassy and resinous. Leads to a bit of a slick mouthfeel at the end.
