Bottle at Lost Cause, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma has tart cherries, some jam currants, a touch of maple syrup, and treacly honey. Flavour is tart and jammy, with intense currants, jammy tart cherries, vanilla, and honey nectar. Wonderful jamminess, just enough tartness, sweet but not cloying. Beauty.

Bottle at Lost Cause, pours a clear amber. Aroma is boozy, with prominent maple syrup, floral honey notes, and booze. Flavour is a bit harsh, with lots of booze, maple syrup, and treacly honey—doesn’t come together. It’s pleasant but lacks integration and refinement. Decent.

On tap at Lost Cause, pours a clear blonde, no head. Aroma is full of intense citrusy lemon, sugars, and subdued honey. Flavour is full of bright lemon, plenty of honey sugars, and gentle acidity. Balanced, reasonably complex, and integrated. Not my favourite but undeniably well-made.

Flavour is absurdly intense, with dark red grape juice, intense date concentrate, massive brandy, and rich treacly honey. Finishes boozy, with sweet dates and concentrated red grape juice. Rich, treacly, sweet, super complex. Wonderful.

Flavour is moderately sweet, with some earthy tea-like notes, some subtle dark fruits, and floral honey. Finishes only moderately sweet, with a tea-like, floral, treacly finish. Excellent.
