Description
Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

Poured from an aluminium bottle thingy. Pale yellow colour with a decent white head. Smells refreshing, sharp but nice. Tastes well. Pilseners aren’t high scoring beers for me. Decent, average pilsener. Good carbo, nice refreshing sensation.

50 cl. can @ home. Old yellow with a big white head. Dull pilsener aroma and taste with very much alcohol, which basicly seems to be the aim for this beer.

Benzai donated me a bottle. Thx! Clear pale yellow colour with little to no head. Smells malty, hay, natural. Tastes a bit watery, grainy, malty, hay, barnyard. Not too bad. Bit thin and watery palate, wouldn’t have guessed it’s 7.5% abv.

On tap at De Bierfabriek. Cloudy yellow colour, frothy white head. Aroma of sulphur, rotten eggs, straw, wort. Flavour is rather sweet, wort, sugarbread, hay, light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. A bit too sweet imo, but nice enough.
