Description
Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

30cl Bottle from Mitra Beukenplein. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is rather German, very malty, bread, a bit of cake and some phenols. Flavour is light sweet, light sourish malts, light floral, bread, light bitter phenol finish with bready notes. Light to medium bodied, oily mouthfeel.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, alcohol, and some fruit, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Small, dense, just-yellow head over golden-copper beer. Very malty, slightly grassy nose, dried garden herbs aroma. Just-not-sweet malty flavour, again grassy-tainted. Spritzy MF, not fizzy. Medium bodied at best, slight grist slickness. Standard, but decent. As if a certain level, a certain balance was intended, but the brewer is too afraid to push further.
