Description
Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

Thanks bierkoning! Golden-amber color, small white head. Grainy, yeasty and fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, banana, grainy flavor. A bit papery, so slightly old.

Golden with white lasting foamy head. Sweet aroma, caramel, vanilla, malts. Some citrus and some hops, not very pronounced. Sweet taste, caramel, molasses, some fruit but not much, malts. Rather too sweet for my taste. (from 30cL bottle)

Warning! Early amateur rating! A mild pils that goes down easy. Not much else worth saying about this!

29th November 2010.
On tap at De Bekeerde Suster, Amsterdam. Clear paleish brown beer. Good white head. Sweetish malt and a little toffee. Traces of marmite and sulphur. A little coca cola sour note towards the semi dry finish. Ok but lacks cohesion.
