From the Albert Heijn, Breukelen. Opening it for the dinner today, during a rainy day, wet and cold. This beer is nice for the style, malty, grainy, watery, a bit syrupy, fruity, citrus and bitter, refreshing even this day of autumn, 21.07.22

Can 33cl. from a AH XL in Muiden @home poured into a shaker. Cloudy medium golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention, Aroma pale malt, lemon, orange, apricot, piney hops. Taste mild medium sweet and bitter, lemon, orange, apricot, pine resin. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, juicy sweetbitter aftertaste, refreshing, very nice.

0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', bottled in September 2025. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly herbal-spicy and a little fruity aroma of caramel, juniper, chocolate, roasted hazelnut and some raisins. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite roasty, gently herbal-spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, chocolate, roasted hazelnut, juniper, licorice root, some vanilla and a touch of raisins, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, a little peppery finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very interesting brew, the juniper matches surprisingly well with the roast and chocolate flavours.

Can. Dark, maaaybe slightly reddish. Coffee, coconut, cream, chocolate. A bit thin, rather sweet, coffee with fruity notes; it is not undrinkable. Would love to try this as nitro.

Can. Pours black, liw brown head. Sweet coffee and coffee sirup aroma. Medium full body, sticky sweet with a light spritziness. Sweet coffee, artificial aromas, roasted barley, kahlua. Dry roast finish. Way too thick and sweet to emulate a Espresso martini, closer to Starbucks.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is complex, krachtig, zoet en ietwat romig met veel chocolade, wat koffie, kandij en een vleug kaneel. Echt een bier om 2026 mee te beginnen.

Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter, kruidig en licht zoet met veel chocolade, wat rood fruit, en speculaas. Heel fijn bier.
