Getreidig hopfiger Beginn. Milde Süße, angenehm weiche Herbe, rund. Spritzig, weiche Herbe, hohe Süffigkeit. Langer hopfiger Abgang. Gefällt! 10/11/11/11/12/11

Unripe mango grapefruit. Slightly hazy golden pour with decent head and lacing. Some caramel in the finish. Pretty nice stuff. Mostly bitter end, decent body. Can.

16 oz. can from The Mansion. Pours black as motor oil with a thick tan head and very good retention. Spotty lacing. Aroma of dark cocoa and booze. You can the flavors of dark chocolate & vanilla, with minor marshmallow and graham crackers notes, and then the 9% ABV kills all the flavor. More bitter than I expected, and not as sweet as I expected either. Medium body. Sticky and slick mouthfeel. Dark bitterness. Not enough roasted notes. For me, this was a big disappointment. Too much pastry and alcohol, and not enough stout.

Tap@Peders, Copenhagen (Malmö crew visit 12/11/2022) - Juicy fruity with punchy exotic and citrus fruity goodness, pine needles, sweet malty backing, resinous edged balanced bitter hoppy finish. Comes together well.

Black beer. Vanilla in the aroma and flavor. Roasted malt. Cinnamon and some spice. I taste nuts but not sure there are any.

ABV: 5.25%. Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, oat, chocolate, nutty - peanut - peanut butter. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration, peanut - peanut butter, nutty, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, dusty feel, feels quit thin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20221105]

Pint can from Woodman's Appleton, 10/28/22. Hazy dark orange, large tan head, below average retention. Aroma of orange, pineapple, guava, mild coriander. Taste is pineapple, guava, orange, coriander, but of salt. Not getting the vanilla at all. Moderate tartness, juicy and almost pulpy. Nice.

Pint can from Wine Cellar Depere, 10/3/22. Black, large tan head, above average retention. Aroma of roasted malt, vanilla, booze, banana, nuts, hints of honey. Taste is roast, cherry, vanilla, chocolate, honey, mild booze. Full bodied, lingering bitterness, booze a bit too present. A bit off-kilter but otherwise a nice beer.
