500ml bottle. Almost black pour with a massive tan head, looking ideal when it finally settles, took around 10 mins to fully pour. Aroma of chocolate and roast malt, hint of dark fruits, all a bit muted. Taste of dark malts, chocolate, quite roasty and ash, mild liquorice or dark fruit, bitter finish. Body is very thin, watery, and it feels very airy, gassy. This needs work, too weak. I've had AF stouts with more body and flavour than this.

500ml bottle, explosive opening making a mess everywhere. Thankfully the beer seemed to be fine.
Pours a slightly unclear amber with a huge off-white head. Aroma is resinous, pine, grass, marmalade. Taste is again predominantly resinous, with citrus, orange, grapefruit, marmalade, biscuity malt base, bitter finish. Medium bodied.
A rocky but pleasant enough start for this new brewery.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent khaki head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, slightly charred, quite chocolatey, praline, mocha coffee and rocky road. The taste is bitter, dark roasted malt, dull acidity, plenty of coffee, cacao nibs, cola and Dr Pepper with a dry, toasty finish. Average body and carbonation. Not a much depth, but very drinkable stuff.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear amber with a decent white head. The aroma is sappy, oily, resin, pine, lychee, pink Turkish delight, papaya and orange marmalade white bread sandwiches. The taste is dry upfront, mellow bitterness, bitter - sweet character, piney, sappy, resinous, pithy grapefruit, fragrant, grass, touch of lychee and biscuit with a drying, resinous finish. Average body and fluffy carbonation. Decent west coast inspired number.

500ml bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear yellow with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, sweetish, biscuity malt, toasty grains, weak lemony citrus and leafy malts. The taste is crisp, dry upfront, zingy, lemon peel, lime, toasty grains, grassy, leafy, slightly soapy and fragrant florals with a drying finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. A touch soapy perhaps. It's ok, but the weakest of the bunch.

The taste is dry upfront, bitter - sweet character, sappy wood, resin, leather, pithy, zesty, orange marmalade, leafy, slightly dusty, brown bread and a touch of tannin with a drying, zesty finale. 500ml bottle from Hop Shop Aberdeen. It pours hazy golden with a handsome white head. The aroma is bright, fresh, tropical fruit juice, pineapple in particular, mango, nectarine and fruit salad. The taste is dry upfront, touch green/weedy, light herbal bitterness, smooth malts, floury bread, tropical fruits and citrus and pithy rind with a dry finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. I am usually apprehensive about a new regional brewery's attempt at a hazy pale, but this one is decent, the aroma is particular.
