Description
The first record of the inn and brewery “Zum goldenen Engel” in Crailsheim from 1738 reads “annual production volume 150 buckets.” In 1877 George Fachs becomes the new owner of the brewery. The Fachs family still owns - now in the fifth generation - the brewery. In 1984 Engel becomes the first German brewery to bottle Radler. Since the turn of the millennium, Engel-Biermanufaktur has developed into a specialty brewery that regularly receives awards for its beers.

Orange-gold; very little to no head. Grassy, hoppy nose and a bit of grain, corn flakes-like, a bit roasted. Bitterish, flowery, grassy, bit of hoppiness in the taste. Little malt but the roasted corn. Very refreshing beer, light bodied. Nice Helles – strange corn flakes taste, rather expected from a USA beer than a German. Nice result all the same.

An orange beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of hops. And the flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel.
