Rediculously overpriced nipbottle (i’m talking 5 euro for what I think is 5 cl, whilst a 75 isn’t even 10 euro). Pours clear blonde, as meads genuinly do. Smell is funky, very natural honey. mild booze, some fruity notes as well. Taste is very harsh, boozy, bit silky, some funk, honey. The booze really doesn’t fit in, and the belend is absolutely not smooth. Didn’t really like this mead. Aftertaste is better, as the harsh aspects fade and they leave a floral, sweet taste.

Bottle sample, courtesy of fiulijn, pours a clear golden blonde. Aroma brings out notes of pears and apples, light sweet, subdued honey, and some light vinegar. Flavour is along the same lines, with acidity from pear- and apple-like notes, light-medium sweetness and some honey nectar. Lightly acidity and vinegary finish, with a nice warming effect. Fairly thin body for something this high gravity. Lacking oomph, but it's acceptable.

batch L11 301 RO 102
Measured Final Gravity: 1033

Pale blond color. Nice aroma, almost a Riesling, delicate fruity wine profile. Semi-sweet mouthfeel; not overly complex, but it has pleasant fruity honey notes, sugar syrup, very light almonds, moderate acidity supporting a mild lemony touch too.
Above expectations, quite nice.
