Description
The Brasserie du Pays Flamand was founded in November 2006. At the start, a common passion of 2 childhood friends: Olivier Duthoit and Mathieu Lesenne, turned into a real large-scale project. The brewery first settled in Blaringhem, on the border of French Flanders and Artois. This is where Bracine, Anosteké and Wilde Leeuw were born. Today, a second, much larger production site has been set up in Merville, in order to meet growing demand. Each brew is a claim to their origins, to the northern terroir, and each beer, an invitation to conviviality. The different ranges offered testify to respected traditional know-how, a search for original taste, and a desire to discover new flavors. The Brasserie du Pays Flamand regularly collaborates with brewers from all over the world, bringing together cultures and ideas to offer you exceptional beers.

8% alk. Jedan jaki lager, nekakva lidluša, tj. Carrefouraša. Popularni dućan u Francuskoj. Kao što se može i očekivati, piva je jaka, ali nije odvratno jako.

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey, golden colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Zesty, citrusy fruity and slightly tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, tangerine, woody pineapple, sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty background, hints of lemon drop, lemon balm. Taste is sweet, pale and caramel malty, citrusy and slightly tropical fruity hoppy, rather condensed notes of lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, lemon peel, some mango, yellow stone fruit, initially moderate but increasing bitterness; lingering, zesty bitter finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery, slightly oily texture, dry and minimally hard, simultaneously slightly cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite sweet, partially Dutch IPA mouthfeel (hard watery, coarse carbonation), rather condensed than spreading hop flavours - pretty nice, though.

33cl bottle from Carrefour Hazebrouck in France. F: medium, white, average retention. C: gold, light hazy. A: malty, nice floral hoppy, bit spicy, bit caramel, orange peels. T: medium to full malty base, peach, floral, decent long lasting harmonic bitterness, bit caramel, grapes, medium carbonation, good for this quite boring style.
