Treated as an imperial one, I poured this into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark amber to brown sort of color with an eggshell white foamy head. Light sliding semi-foamy lace.
The aroma had some root beer/sarsaparilla-like/somewhat birch beer notes up front. Light herbal to woody notes meddle with some pine and earth. Some nuts at the end.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side through the previously mentioned aromas. Birch beer-like/sarsaparilla aftertaste with a sticky malty sort of finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a decent sipping quality about it. Another over carbonated beer by these guys.
Overall, though over carbonated, it didn’t seem to effect the aroma and flavor to me. I’d have again if I could get it.

The appearance was a dark brown color with an almond foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Some stringy lace.
The aroma had some light vanilla, toast, coffee bean, light caramel malts. Ends with a little bit of butterscotch and pecans.
The flavor leads with the sweetness initially and then seemed to blend a bit more as it warmed - adding in some roast. Light woodiness. Aftertaste was smooth sweet caramel to vanilla to pecan qualities. Quick malty sort of finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with some more carbonation coming out than expected, but my buddy Steve even said that he was told they over carbonated this. I’m not worried as it was pretty smooth to me.
Overall, really nice brown ale. Wish I could get this again, damn.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-cloudy golden to yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet wheaty malt. Some apricots and then some citrus pulp. Light tickle of zest.
The flavor takes the previously mentioned aromas to boot and clean up to a sweet and zesty sort of aftertaste flowing nicely into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt appropriate and the spice doesn’t distract from it’s ability to want to pound this.
Overall, good Americanized witbier worthy of slamming in the Summers.

Draught @ NYC Beer Week Opening Bash. Hazy copper red with very small foamy off-white head, floral aroma, low carbonation, sweet malty vanilla taste with bitter alcohol undertones, somewhat thick body, long sticky sweet finish with alcohol aftertaste. Enticing floral aroma but a bit too sweet.

Same place as Mansquito. Slightly hazy rich yellow with very small frothy off-white head, faint malt aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter metallic malty taste with Belgian yeast characteristics, thin body. long bitter metallic finish. The metallic taste really ruins it.

NYC Brewers Guild:Beer Week Opening Bash: pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is light Belgian yeast, weak fruitiness. Taste is lightly bitter, a tad sweet. Easy drinking.
