Bottle from Big aLICe. Pours pitch black with fluffy brown head. A touch overcarbonated. Nose and taste of tea, chocolate roast, lightly soured black malt, vanilla biscuit and toasted cocoa. Medium body. Very nice beer.

Bottle sampled at the brewery. Pours dark brown with off white head. Nose is very strong chamomile, herbs, milk sugar, honey, sweet malt and caramel. Taste is the same but more heavy on the honey malt and sweet malt. Light abbey feel to it. Very solid. Unique for sure. Medium body.

Bottle at Monmouth Park tasting. This needs to get moved to No. 14 when these are unaliased. Morel version. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of roast chocolate malt, fudge brownie, mushrooms, earth, vanilla and sweet chocolate. Medium body. Well put together.
