Bottle with thanks to jtclockwork! Pours clear amber, kind of sherry-like, no real head, a touch of lacing. Aroma is funky, basement, a bit odd, vegetal. Perhaps some blackberry. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, pretty sharp, acetic, cleaner-like qualities. Some honey present, woody astringency. Medium body. Ack.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Coleen. Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Mellow but pretty tangy dark malts. Tangy dark fruits. Whisper of dark chocolate. Smooth semi dry finish. Not bad but quite tangy.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has lots of toasted malts, mild cocoa, subtle tangy notes. Big tangy fruit flavor, some metal, oily cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some raisins, more tangy dark fruits, metal. Pretty shabby.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours black with a tiny tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, sweet, treacle, vanilla, toasty coconut, gateaux and marshmallow. The taste is smooth, roasty, mild acidity, cocoa, tart, touch watery, dark fruits, some astringency and charred stuff. Medium body and fine carbonation. Infected.... A bit sour and acidic. A shame.

Bottle at home, grabbed another concotion from Big Alice. Poured fine black with small head. Nose of chocolate and middle eastern spice. Tastes of subdued stout flavors chocolate, licorice and malt maybe touch of red fruits. The spice is hard to place I’m guessing zatar spice or turmeric. Light palate slight watery. Despite being bizarre I found enjoyable, the middle of each glass better than start or finish.

750 mL bottle corked with thread. This, well, opened itself. Explosively. And almost killed my phone. Definite gusher. Pours a hazy orange with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of cinnamon toast crunch cereal, tart fruits, caramelized sugar. The taste is cinnamon, toffee, spice, caramel, dry berries, tea, vanilla. Medium bodied, strong lingering spice. Weird beer, but quite good. And there’s chamomile in here? Could barely tell. Thanks to jtclockwork for the bottle!

Bottle at the brewery: We waited about a month before opening this, as instructed by the brewer. Anyway, what poured out was an orange beer with virtually no head, well a little. Like many of this brewery’s beers, this one was pretty underarbonated. Aroma is powerful: booze (lots), pineapple, sugar, and more sugar. Taste is sweet pineapple. The booze is noticeable, but not in a bad way. The sourness is pretty light when push comes to shove. This doesn’t seem to be all that good. If they did second batches, I am sure that the recipe would have been changed.

Bottle at home, I finally made it out to grab some of this and decided on this brew based on brewer recommendation. Pours kind of ugly dirty gold with whith frothy head. Nose is faint bacon and wet wood. Tastes like the inside of your mouth the morning after partying by a bonfire all night, also some lactic sourness, wood, lime, and some booze. Touch brags on palate with alcohol warming.
