33cl bottle at home. Very dark brown pour with a medium height dark tan head and visible carbonation rising to the surface. Notes of roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, smoke, oak sourness and mouldy oak dust, licorice, dark cherry bitterness, light caramel and molasses. A very well-made RIS. --- Beer merged from original tick of OAK1 on 12 Jul 2017 at 19:15 - Score: 8. Original review text: A pretty well-made imperial stout, nice and roasty and with some well integrated oak notes.

Bottle @ home. Black with a small light brown head. Smells roasty, coffee, chocolate, nutty (hazelnut and almonds), bourbon, hint of vanilla. Tastes roasty, chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee, slightly boozy and alcohol, oak, bourbon. Too bad it’s kinda sharp since it’s quite boozy without the body to back it up. But still a very nice beer. Full body, soft carbo.
Verrassend goed! Veel koffie, lekkere chocolade en een keer niet zo alcoholisch en vullend als sommige andere imp stouts --- Beer merged from original tick of S1 Russian Imperial Stout on 29 Jun 2017 at 22:52 - Score: 9. Deep dark brown colour, tall frothy beige head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, cocoa notes. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, chocolate, caramel, light roast. Roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, burnt caramel, alcohol notes, medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Well-made example of the style but lacks a bit depth, very nice though.

Amber colour with thin head. Aroma has lots of toasted, biscuity malts. Flavour has some boiled vegetables and has non-descript bitterness. Not quite right.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Gorinchem. Milky yellow with a huge white head. Citrus aroma with some coriander. Taste is fairly sweet with the typical wheat notes. Not bad, not bad at all.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange color, full sized fizzy white to off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, malts, a bit citrussy, citrussy bitter, yeasty. Medium body, decent to medium carbonation. Overall: drinkable but meh.
