Taste starts with some hoppy bitterness, but that quickly vanishes. After that, the beer is a bit flat and metallic. More blond, than IPA.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Amber color. White head, quickly receding to a thin layer. Aroma’s: sweet, bready malts, sweet fruit, light alcohol, a touch of ginger retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, fruity. Fairly strong alcohol feel, or some sharpness that might have been caused by the ginger. Medium bodied. Sweet spices in the finish. Maybe not really a triple, but decent enough.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Gusher, a Duvel glass wasn’t big enough to hold all the foam. Murky amber color as a result. Huge white to off white head, slowly receding. Aroma’s of sweet fruit, perfumy, sweet malts, a bit herbal hops. Retronasal the hop is a bit more (and the fruit less) apparent, slightly herbal. Flavor is a bit grain-ish, a bit fruity sour and a hint of sweetness. Body is medium. Not much flavor in the finish. Not there yet.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Dark brown color, cloudy. Huge off white to beige head, leaving a good lace.Aroma’s: roasted malt, toasted bread, some red fruit, malty sweetness retronasal. Flavor is light sweet, toasted, nutty, with a hint of fruity acidity. Light bodied. Carbonation is a bit too high, gushing in the mouth. Finishes roasted and with a light to moderate bitterness.
