About
Blue Lobster Brewing Company will be coming to Hampton, New Hampshire in 2012! Featuring fine craft beers from Michael and Roberta Benoit, Blue Lobster will become a common sight in your favorite local restaurants and bars.

Michael and Roberta have been crafting beer for 30 years (okay, so Michael crafts it, but Roberta helps design and drink it). After many years of wandering the country in exotic places like Texas, California, and for the last 12 years Oregon, they are looking forward to bringing their unique, locally-inspired brews to New Hampshire. Blue Lobster will feature small batch specialty brews, as well as more traditional beers - all served in our own tasting room AT the brewery.

Thanks Chris for bringing this to me! Pours a robust black out of the 750ML into my stemmed wine glass with a small 1 finger head. Not oily but certainly black. the Nose is bright with cloves, grapefruit and pine cones. Roasted almonds as well. Lovely maltiness. Great level of roast and coffee with a bitter hoppiness that reminds me of tangerine juice with a touch of pine cone. Really easy to drink!

Insanely cloudy citrus yellow nice white lacing Smells amazing. Holy hell. Kiwi bomb with a hint of tartness, floral and wheat Taste is a hearty wheat dryness with a very tart almost soothing bitterness. Citrus and fruity bomb from start to finish but not syrupy. Incredibly refined! Dave, you’re a magician

Draft @ BL. Bright hazy yellow with a thick cap of white head. Aroma is a blast of tart kiwi fruit and yeast, nice! The taste is fresh citrus, lightly tart finish. Not much lactic acid. Very mild pucker affect, in fact it is really smooth of a Berliner. Medium bodied and real refreshing. The 2.9% makes it so easy to drink that you can drain you glass very quickly. I like it so much I purchased a two liter growler to share with friends. I tip my hat to the brew master. We will finish this rather quickly tomorrow afternoon.

2 separate 4 oz. tasters @ BL. As well as a full pint @ Poppers at the Mill, NewMarket, NH. Pours pitch black, with a medium, tan head. Nice milk chocolate aroma, with some toasted bread and spicy rye. Very sweet and smooth flavor, with none of the normal burnt hints, not overly Smokey. However, a nice level of peat. Nice rye spiciness through the finish. Coffee and vanilla notes. Medium to heavy body, smooth and creamy texture. Awesome porter!

4 oz. taster @ BL. A deep black color with head that was slight off white. Flavor is moderately sweet and roasty with chocolate and caramel. Bitterness but not overpowering but for sure strong with lots of pine. Mouthfeel has a silky texture but a tad thin. Decent beer that feels like it’s close to being really good, just missing some balance. I feel like if I drank more the bitterness would stack up and get stronger. Tons of pine which for me isn’t my thing. However, well worth a try if you like the style.

750 ml growler from BL. Hazy gold color with thick white head, producing lacing down the entire glass. Nose is bright citrus and hints of pine. Flavor is lightly resinous with the light pine and grass coming through upfront, pale malts and grapefruit pith and some wheat hiding behind this vibrant hop profile. Medium-full bodied, well balanced with a short abrupt bitterness. This is delicious brew. I will buy this again.

750 ml growler from BL. Mahogany wood color, head is off white. Nose is a weak version of the flavor. Sweet caramel and toffee malt flavors. A wisp of char/smoke, and some dark fruits. Finish is sweet without being cloying. ABV is completely hidden however, it has a warming sensation after the sip and the brew is warmer. I like it enough to buy a 750 ml !

Draft @ Poppers on the Mill. Hazy dirty gold color, thick head with retention. Nose is a real nice mix of grapefruit, mango, tart pineapple and some traces of resin. Flavors are highly hopped with a big citrus overtones, grass and dank bitterness on the finish. Lots of lingering bitterness. Very alive, green leafy hop notes as well. Damn this is a crazy amount of hop juice! Hop junkies can get a fix on this one!

Hazy muted yellow, nice 2 finger head that fades fast. Honey, hay, bright and wheaty. Holy sweetness. Crisp finish, honey, hay and a bit of cloves. Lovely juiciness throughout but not the orange bomb I was expecting. Very drinkable and surprisingly more alcohol than I expected. great job!
