Bottle from Beer Republic. Brown malt and caramel aroma with notes of chocolate and vanilla. Not really picking up on the Mexican/Churro aspect. Medium sweet with a light bitterness, medium body. Decent Porter.

12oz bottle. Lychee aroma is big, but comes off to be like a super perfumy not real extract additive. A little more interesting than most fruited IPAs, but still artificial, undesirable, and unimpressive. Base is more old school brewpub APA, malts overpower the lychee.

750ml bottle. Funky, leathery Bretty tone. Saison yeast is still there too, Not unlike Orval at best, but certainly a little sloppier, not so refined. Hoppy, bretty. Drinkable, but more of a science experiment than a great beer.

12oz bottle. Like most Moody Tongue beer, it comes off thin, lacking, borderline off. Ingredients seem right, it just doesn't come together well. Big rice tone works, but the finesse just isn't there.

Sounds sort of fancy, but really just another lackluster pastry beer. The flavors don't really merge that well, or remind me a churro. Drinkable, but not really an impressive creation.

Bottle at home. Pours copper with an off-white head. Nose is sweet malty, showing notes of bread, toffee, dried fruits, vanilla, and light booze. Taste is scotch upfront, booze and lightly spicy, vanilla like wood, then rather surprisingly it packs a fruity and floral punch with hints of honey and toffee. Closes with a fruity, jammy woody finish, has a medium to full body (I think the fruity character made it feel lighter than it actually was) and soft carbo. Interesting, layered and complex stuff.
