Bottle, Total Wine, West Richmond. Pours clear golden with a small off-white head. Aroma is browning leaves, black tea. Flavor is light vanilla, light chocolate, browning leaves, caramel sweetness. Not great, but a little on the interesting side.

Can as pictured. Pours pale yellow with a big head that fades. Smell is off veggie hop nose. Taste from a glass is big veggie bitter hops, needs a little more alky kick for me to appreciate this stuff; all the terrible bitterness of a good IPA yet where is the award? Yes, terribly on style resinous bitter veggie mouth coating thicker feeling IPA. Bitter bitter finish ending with a terrible feeling hiding in the back corners of your mouth long after the beer is gone. Yes, just as nasty as any IPA and I would say the taste is actually well into the double IPA range.

Pours a near black from a bottle, nearly no head, what little there is quickly dissipates with medium sized bubbles. Chocolate and roasted malty aroma, similar flavor, a little licorice on the backdrop. Sweet, a little fizzy. Okay beer.

Another filtered Belgian ale, without the active yeast just tastes too sweet and thin.

Why filter your trippel? You end up with overwhelming malt and no yeast flavor. Meh.

750 ml bottle. Amber orange pour topped by a large rocky beige head. Aromatic toasted malt nose hints at caramel. Then comes the explosion of hops and rosemary. Intensely bittersweet with notes of crushed black pepper, lemon and pine. Warming alcohol in finish leads to a long bitter aftertaste. Quite tasty and certainly unique.

Clear golden coloured body with no head at all and a very glassy and clear golden tint. Aroma of honey, light malt, a touch of yeast and bread and a little bit of blueberries, but not much at all - this is all about the sweetness from the honey. Medium-bodied; Assertive honey sweetness with a nice sticky and medium maltiness throughout with some touches of floral and citrus notes, but the honey sweetness dominates and interestingly enough - hardly any alcohol shows through - and at 15%! Aftertaste is pure malt, bread, yeast and especially honey - plenty of sweetness around. Overall, a great and very simplistic mead with some mellow blueberry notes, a lot of bread and yeast flavours, but a ton of honey sweetness and not much alcohol pungency, which is great for someone who wants these qualities, but is pretty good for the style from a casual drinker of these meads. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (P Street, Logan Circle), D.C. on 23-February-2015 for US$10,99 sampled at home in Pungoteague/Onancock, Virginia (Eastern Shore) on 28-May-2017.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black color topped by a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and charcoal. Flavor is smooth and creamy with roasted malt, chocolate, brine and seaweed. Rich and flavorful with an ashey, fruity dark malt character. Quite good.
