Description
Three Notch’d Brewing Company was conceived by three friends who value great beer and great times, with close family and friends. Each of us has a great appreciation for individualism, respect for hard work and earning our ability to give back to the communities we live in. We opened our doors for commercial operation in August of 2013 and work each day to Leave Our Mark on the craft brew industry and Charlottesville, VA by making great beer and collaborating with all lovers of the craft beer industry. We hope that you will join us and Leave Your Mark, too.

Draft at the brewery, 8/5/14. Pours a clear ruby with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of rye, graham cracker, dark fruits. The taste is rye, dark fruits, bread, graham cracker, mild ginger and citrus. Medium bodied, well balanced.

Draft at the Charlottesville location, 7/29/14. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of melon, tropical, herbal hops, almost dank. Honey and pale malt. The taste is citrus, tropical, melon hops, pale malt, honey. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness, well balanced.

Draft at Three Notch’d HBurg, 7/16/14. Pours a clear amber color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of tropical, citrus, floral and mild resin and melon hops, mild caramel malt. The taste is tropical, citrus, candied citrus, resin, hops, caramel malt. Medium bodied, low carbonation, moderate lingering bitterness, good balance.
