650mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with no head. Nose brings out tart citrus and wheat - pretty subtle. Flavour is lightly tart, wheaty and lightly citrusy. Subtle, muted, but refreshing. Decent but unimpressive.

Dark red-brown like intense sticke, aroma has mellow caramel/toffee, nice character. Sweet, there’s a strong coffeeish overtone, good balance but the malts get a bit husky late. Ok effort, nothing Dusseldorf about it but ok strong amber type.

Draft - Dark soured malts and cherries. Deep maroon with a small beige head. Lots of raisin, some vinous notes and a little balsamic in the finish. The grape notes are quite dominant and body is refreshing, kinda like a wine cooler.

Draft - Sweet stone fruit and light funk. Cloudy light gold with a good white head. Belgian boozy fruity esters, mango and passion fruit. Sweet and fruity, nice.Earlier Rating: 1/10/2015 Total Score: 3.2Draft - Fruity esters, bit of grass and a nice sweetness. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Lots of yeasty esters, very light fund and some grassy notes. Not bad, nice bitterness but a bit to estery for me.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a dark amber with a medium beige head. Nose is very fruity and dry hoppy, with stone fruits, some buttery notes and light hopping. Flavour is bizarre, with musty stone fruits, feet, and citrusy dry hopping. What a strange beast this is. Really musty and muffled. Not really sure what they were going for here. Not a disaster, but certainly not very good.

dark brown color. Seems even more balanced and complex than it was the first time I had it, rich malts blending very well with the dark berry fruitiness and acidity. Balanced and harmonious. Very good Sour.

Dark color, small beige head. It shows some light acetone, but it’s totally acceptable; the malts are dark, some dark caramel too, blending with a moderate acidity; the high alcohol content minimizes the perception of sweetness; vinous, there is a mild fruity touch; the final gets a bit woody and vegetable.
Very nice, quite complex.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of red wine barrels, along with wood and some light tart fruits. Flavour is wonderfully well-balanced, with notes of tart dark fruits, leather, oak, and of course, red wine barrels. Exceptional depth to this, reminding me of Russian River Consecration. Elegant and complex. Wonderful stuff.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy blond color with small creamy head. The aroma is mild; it’s bready, lactic and a bit footy. Dry and lean mouthfeel, it has little malt character, some lactic acid and an impression of anise.
Not a bad beer, not impressive, a bit weird.

Draft - Toasted malts, cocoa and almost soured milk. Jet black with a decent beige head. Toasted malts, slight burnt notes, tobacco, smoke and a bitter finish. I quite like this, but don’t get any of the proposed flavours, especially vanilla.

Bottle - Fruity esters and sweet malts, light spice. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Peppery, citrus peel and a nice acidity to round out the sweetness. I like this, but I have no idea about the Pumpkin or for that matter what it is. Tastes kinda like a Saison.
