Bottle from the brewery (bottled May 2017). Pours a pale white-yellow color with a fizzy, quick dissipating, white head. Like a cocktail more so than a beer or a mead. Like a sweet drink made with gin and some sort of sweet soda like a cream ale. Yeah, gin + cream ale + a quick drizzle of honey, that’s what this is. Very fizzy, soda-like mouthfeel. I’m pro experiment, but this one wasn’t really for me. Way too sweet, and without the beautiful crisp, nuanced flavor that most Melovino Meads possess. Since they only sold a small number of bottle, if you want to try and replicate this at home: 1.5 oz of gin, a can of Dr. Brown’s Cream Soda, and about a five second squeeze from the honey bear should do the trick.

500 ml bottle. Clear golden-orange with a fizzy, quick dissipating, white head. Sweet honey and floral aroma with an herbal, grassy hop note as well. Very clean and crisp. After trying the 2 I got from them I can honestly say that these "IPA-style" meads are odd. I like the clean, bright, mouthfeel. Not sure how I feel about it overall. It does grow on you.
