Ellison Brewery + Spirits
Microbrewery
in East Lansing,
Michigan,
United States 🇺🇸
Associated Venue: Ellison Brewery + Spirits
Established in 2015
At the time, Lansing didn’t have a brewery large enough to sell its beer outside of its own taproom. Now, there are breweries all over the map competing for marketshare.
Ellison has made it a mission to experiment. A continual refinement of beer, wine and spirits. Sure, we have the usual suspects, but we’re always looking for new flavors. With over 700 different locations across the great state of Michigan to purchase Ellison product, we’d like to say “people like our stuff”.

16oz (thx, Brian C.!) at Andrey's shared with Alex and Jamey. Appearance: almost black with a tan head. Aroma: roasty, coffee. Taste: along the same lines with lots of roasted malt notes as well as some chocolate and burnt sugar. Overall: ok.

16oz (thx, Brian C.!). Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: piney hops with some weird herbal and lollipop notes. Taste: along the same lines with citrusy and caramel notes, butterscotch. Overall: very old or very old-school IPA? It is meh IMO.

Can from 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a hazy orange gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Big juicy nose with fresh squeezed orange juice, passion fruit and mango aromas. More tropical fruit on the palate with pine and dank kush flavors. No date on the can, but I do get a slight oxidized malt note, but nothing too bad. Lingering dank, passion fruit and citrus on the finish with prickly pear and light pine bitterness. Solid.
