Bottle shared at tasting with Johnny and TomHendriksen. Reddish color, virtually no head. Aroma is fruity mixed with sourness. Flavor is odd. Sweetish, tart, some fruitiness. Hard to describe. What is the base beer? Weird. Faint flavor. Meh.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, dark ruby, brown-ish colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Grassy, leafy hoppy, caramel malty, dusty yeasty and minimally yeasty fruity aroma, notes of caramel, a touch of nougat an red berries. Taste is moderately bitter, grassy hoppy, sweet-ish, caramel malty, slightly yeasty fruity, notes of caramel, diluted hints of cherry and red berries. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Very clean caramel flavours, pretty hoppy, easy drinkable - very nice.

Fast gone off-white head over cloudy orange-amberish beer. Sweet, spicy - herbal, bit citrus(peel), hint of ginger, then fruity - no doubt the buckthorn. Caramel, caramel malts, white candi sugar, bitterish finish. Again orangepeel and a faraway hint at tartness. Rather well-bodied, very slick. Long aftertaste with just some alcoholwarmth. Bof... not exciting, despite the interesting fruit, ubiquitous in Zeeland. Purchased @ Floor 2.0, Goes

Clear brown appearance. Lighter than the base Quad. The sweeter elements from the base Quad are not really present in the aroma. The earth and burnt peat of the whisky really come through though together with a little iodine. Also some orange oil. Some of the sweetness of the base Quad does come through in the taste though. The jammy, sugary elements work well with the meaty, peaty smoke. Feels slightly thinner in the mouth. Really intense though.

Very dark brown colour with thin head. Aroma has sweet elements of strawberry jam and caramel malt sugars. The flavour has it too but also a rounded, earthy note. Almost towards a charred wood or smokiness. Very rich and thick. Very good if you fancy a sweet beer.

37.5 cl fles van de brouwerij. Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en krachtig met duidelijk wat whiskey, een beetje rook en bittere chocolade. Heeft tevens een romig mondgevoel.

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen en thuis gedronken. Geel bleek bier, flink schuimend tijdens inschenken. Aroma en smaak is hoppig. Nasmaak is moutig en bitter.
