(Keg at Syystober’14) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was almost white, medium sized and it lasted rather. Aroma had pear, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, earth, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. Off-scents in the aroma but the taste was surprisingly good.

Draught @ Syystober 2014
Aroma has sweet malt, resiny tones and some harsh malty tones. Flavour has resiny malt, some minerals and fruits. Finishes with some mellow hops. If the After Eight means the candy, I cannot locate it here. Perhaps some mint in the finish? Clean amber ale, but a bit harsh. After some sips Kuninkaankartano house aroma can be observed though.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy bronze colour. Pear, caramel and lemony winegums up front. Fairly sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Interesting, albeit not entirely clean fruity flavour of bark, lemon peels, pears and cookies. Dusty bitterish finish

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 31.08.2014
Aroma is a bit odd with gooseberry bush leaves and worty tones – perhaps also some yeast. Flavour has grapefruit, gooseberry bush, some herbal tones and hints of hay. Flat palate with almost no CO2 at all on tongue. Finishes a bit bitter in a harsh way. Mellow and messy – also a feeling of contamination with lactic notes occur at the end of the glass.

Bottle 500ml (PBF IX)
Hazy orange color, good off-white head. A bit tart, berryish aroma. Light-bodied. Saison yeasty spiceyness but also some unwanted tartness. Lingering spiceyness. Rye is not very dominant.
