The brewery was founded in 1854 by Otto Baumgarten. In 1893 it became an open partnership company. Since 1970 37% of the shares are owned by the Dortmunder Actien-Brauerei (part of the Radeberger Group). In 1979 the renaming of Baumgartens Allersheim Brauerei to its current name Allersheim Brauerei took place.

0.3 l on tap at 'Kiekenstein'. Crystal clear, pale golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw with traces of lemon peel. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly grassy taste of grains, straw and hints of lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, a little dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Pils.
