Tap at the brewery. They said this was the last of a 4-month-old batch, so I didn't expect much, but it was my favorite of the night. Bright, spicy citrus in the nose. The Simcoe really shines. Bright golden color. Huge spice and fruit flavor from the Simcoe, with that little bit of sweatiness. Smooth and silky with perfect balance, and doesn't seem at all past its peak. Great classic IPA. Like a the best of the West Coasters from 2012.

Tap at the brewery. Nose is passion fruit, some grape, sage, herbs. Quite funky, fruity wine yeast. Lovely fruitiness with very interesting herbal character. The sage really comes through, with the jasmine and tarragon peaking through. Slick and silky, and a bit sweet and strong.

Tap at the brewery. Brownish orange and slightly cloudy. Nose is orange, cherry, pine, caramel, chocolate, rye bread. Great nose. Strong, rich malt and great hop flavors. Caramel and chocolate but not very sweet. Solid bitter finish. Nice stuff.

Tap at the brewery. Pale gold with lace. Bready, malty nose, with lemony hops and spicy yeast. Spicy flavor, slightly tart, citrus, bread. Light bodied and very drinkable. Not quite as impressive as the coffee saison but very solid.

Tap at the brewery, old batch next to new. This is for the new one. Bright pastel gold with lace. Very hazy. Nose is orange, rye spice, some hops resin and funkiness. Fruity, spice flavor with unobtrusive malt. Not sweet, but clean and spicy and finishes very dry. Obviously a juicy, hazy IPA, but the rye really works well, making it somewhat saison-like and interesting.

On tap at the brewery. Slightly hazy, pale golden color with a low head. Big citrus and white grape in the nose, certainly Citra and Nelson. Light biscuit malts. Slightly funky and pissy flavor, white grape, lemon, orange, crackers. Nice body.

Tap at the brewery. Bright golden color, low head. Clear. Lemony nose, coffee, bready malts, spicy yeast. Flavor is spicy Belgian yeasty blending very nicely with the coffee. There is lemon and orange, some chocolate, bread. Finishes bitter with some roasted coffee. Crisp, well balanced, and rich. Works much better than expected.

Tap at Komachi. Clear, bright golden color. Sweet malty biscuits and honey in the nose with some lemony hops. Clean honey malt flavor, bready, with light lemon hops. Light bitterness in the finish. Clean and tasty but doesn't quite have the delicate malt character of a great helles. No flaws, though.

Tap at the brewery. Hazy pale gold, low head. Nose has a hint of smoke, otherwise bready malt, saison yeast, herbal hops and some citrus. Flavor shows a hint of sweet coconut, along with citrus and bread, not much smoke really. Crisp, light body. Well done version of the saison.
