Bottle from Billa DBK, Prague. Hah, this won some award and I was hoping to try it or get it somewhere in Budějovice, but nope. Still, it finally showed up in Prague... in a green bottle... ugh. Anyway, full, clear old gold body, white head. Eeh, I overchilled this, but some sweetish maltiness, herbal and fruity touches. Smooth taste, crackery-grainy maltiness, mild fruit, dusty, ending a bit bitterish-herbal. Quite okay like this, even when it warmed, the off notes remained restrained. While I'm not head over heels for it, this isn't bad!

Tap at Bar Garáže. Clear golden, white head. Honeyish cheap malty aroma. Vaguely flowery. Dull, lean, malty taste vague cardboard, vague metal. Shite. Liked the 11, this is just mediocre.

Bottle from Albert Butovice. Clear golden with a fleeting white head. Dry aroma, vaguely herbal, vague honey note, not entirely in sync. The taste, however, isn't half-bad, clean and lean, soft neutral maltiness, mild herbal hoppiness that dares to put a mild bitterness up as well. Right now, this is better than the last few pale Budweisers I've had. There, I've said it. Funny really how you simply cannot find this beer in central Budějovice, and I can't blame the locals - the brewery had its fuckups, and one would and should always take the local, state-owned even above foreign-owned, but that doesn't change the fact - these people are making okay beer right now!

Tap @ Pudel, Tallinn. Pours golden, clear. Biscuits in the nose, sweetish, hint of hops. Tastes bready, sweet malty character, lighter bitterness in the finish. Drinks quick, not bad in that sense. Otherwise relatively boring though, some wet cardboard in the taste.
