A pint taken at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court London on 4th August, handpulled into a festival straight sided sleeve pint glass. It was a 3.8%ABV straw blond coloured bitter, have they changed the beer completely and just kept the name? Anyway, the beer was fairly bland and odourless to be honest. I only had it so I could add Northern Ireland to my country list as I try to drink around the world:To be fair, it was a light session beer that didn’t have enough about it against some of the more robust beers I was trying on either side of it.

Bottle. Redish amber with a thin head. Aroma of spice and fruitcake. Flavour is nutty, malt spice. Tangy on the tongue.

bottle, many thanks to jaghana - a new country for me. Deep black colour, dense, creamy beige head. Very light-bodied, almost thin, with lots of roasted malts, quite dry. Smooth palate.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours amber with a slight haze and an off-white head. A little nutty in the nose. Light body, a little roast and fruit with some plain British hops, a little metal. A dry bitter finish. 251211

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, toffee, butter. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111105]

Cask @ GBBF 2011. Pours a clear golden pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty eak grainy hoppy aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some herbal hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish.
