Bottle, danke Günther! Light hazy dark amber, offwhite foam. Juicy crunchy malt nose. Medium body, carbonated dry mouthfeel. Juicy caramel base, light roast, light berry, citric and grassy finish. Satisfying.

Medium, dense, reasonably stable, just off-white head over cristal clear copper beer. Bread, chestnut, toasted malts, maltsugars. Bread, sweeet, autumn leaves, nuttty. Sweet parsley. Finish has a light, leafy bitterbite. Light body, quite slick to nearly sticky. Nice, but a Kellerbier might benefit from a bit more yeast activity. Txs to Stef!

Schnapp -Flascherl: Hazy, amber coloured, persistent creamy and lacy off-white head, sweetish grainy-malty nose with a delicate herbal-hoppy background - hardly detectable mineralic and toasty spots included; mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite light bodied, quite soft; slightly lingering and a bit drier malty-toasty and bitter finish. Good! A Bier from the Upper Palatinate with a franconian twist...

Schnapp-Flascherl: Golden, clear, small persistent white head, metallic traces in the mild grainy-strawy nose; mild - as well - bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied to watery; slightly lingering bitter-sweet strawy-metallic finish. Yawn...

Medium, white head, reasonably stable over clear metallic golden beer. Bit spicy nose, malts, toasted. Again spicy malts in the flavour, but with a metallic bitterish surround that is rather annoying. Toastiness all but gone. Springwater quality, however. Light body, and light carbonation almost to the point of being still. Not impressed by this one. Thanks to Stef!

500ml bottle [as Klosterbräu Oberalteich Kloster Bergbock]. Clear, orangey, golden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally starchy, malty aroma, whiffs of grain, cereals and honey. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally starchy, pale malty, a touch of cereals and honey. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Simple, monotonous, not too sweet - so-so.
