From tap. Poura dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity, toasted and solid hoppy. Sweet, toasted and solid hoppy. Bitter and crisp fruity. Lingering toasted and hoppy into the finish.

Bottle at home, from an IP trade with Surrey’s #1 rater, 05/05/14. Black with a good sized than covering that thins and retains. Nose is light roast, dark berry fruit tang, toffee, earthy cocoa. Taste comprises light smoke, toffee fudge, light cocoa, dark berry fruit, hoppy backnotes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with a little prickle, slightly watery, sweet licks in the close. Ok stout, perhaps a little overly thin and sweet at times.

Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, spicy, mint, moderate roasted. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration, spicy, herbs, caramel, chocolate, anis seed - fennel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled, thanks fonefan! Hazy dark brown, small head. Caramelly marzipan aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, bubblegum, grass and marzipan. Brown sugar, warming finish.
