Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours clear brown with a foamy beige head. Dry bready malts in the nose, some toasty caramel. Medium sweet flavor with bits of toffee, brown bread and light alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with further bready malts and mild alcohol warmth. Good stuff.

Bottle, from trade with fonefan. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma is spiced, with cardamom, orange and a faint ginger touch. Ginger, thyme, orange notes and a generic fruity touch in the flavor, leading to a lasting finish with spices. Medium to full body, semi-dry. A nice spiced one, quite pleasant and easy to drink. 130208

500ml bottle thanks to onkelgobber’s friends. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Milk chocolate aromas, not much else, thin. Taste add something smoky, but still a tad thin. Punches below its weight. A bit dull.

50cl bottle thanks to onkelgobber’s friends. Appearance - opaque black, with a lovely creamy head. Nose - elusive, some very dark chocolate, some cream. Taste - dark chocolate, maybe some tobacco. Palate - not as big in body as I’d hoped but medium bodied, textured and a relatively elegant finish. Overall - very balanced.
