Bottle 500ml. [ As Klášter Ležák 11° ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, biscuit, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, grass, fruity malt, biscuit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160422]

0,5l bottle bought a day before at Pivoteka Ceska, Brno. BB 12.02.2016. yellow clear shiny color, small white head. smells tobacco, acidic, light cardboard, light funk even. dont like the smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes acidic, light cardboard, some sweetness after a while, hints of sourness which gives this a rather weird touch, tobacco, light grass. finishes lightly bitter with hints of grass and tobacco. weird one.

Jan ’15. A 0.5 l bottle at Kobaje bar, Split. This one poured a clear dark brown body with a small head. Sweet aroma of caramel malt and sugar. Flavor started, interestingly, lightly dry, although toasted, both coffee and biscuit, while it opens up on the sweet side later on in vanilla, caramel, brown sugar and raisins. Although caramel was absolutely dominant, complexity was evident. Full, rich bodied with long, sweet and sticky sugary finish. It left too sweet impression for my taste. However, some good sides can’t be disputed. An okay winter beer.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a big frothy white head, not a very good retention. Malty aroma, some a bit smelly grains, a fruity feel to it. Taste is mildly sweet, gentle hoppy bitterness and fresh feel. Tastes better than smells.
